Ken Billinger

  • Ken Billinger grew up in the small town of Victoria, Kansas, home of the Cathedral of the Plains - now the Basilica of St. Fidelis. He graduated from Victoria High School and attended nearby Fort Hays State University.  Ken has been married to his beautiful wife Patty for 36 years.  They have one son, Blaine who died in 2011. Ken has been a cradle Catholic, but didn't practice his faith for many years before returning to the Church in 2003.  He absolutely loves his Catholic faith and has been active in his parish as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, Lector and has also participated in Christ Renews His Parish, Men of Ascension and Fathers of St. Joseph.  In September of 2018, he and his wife Patty began Project Chrysalis, a ministry to help parents who have lost a child.  Ken is  currently in formation for the Permanent Diaconate in the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas. God willing, he will be ordained in June of 2020.

Bob Ortiz

  • Bob Ortiz blessed to be the husband of Diane, Father of Nicki, Gina and Trey, and to be the Grandfather of Dominic, Gemma, Oliva and Maeysn-Rose. In 2016 he was graced in receiving the Rite of Diaconate Candidate by Archbishop Joseph Naumann in the Archdiocese of Kansas City, Kansas. He has served on the parish council, parish finance council, is currently serving on the parish evangelization committee, is a church sacristan and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Bob joined an Electric Power Company in Kansas to bring Light to people and to keep it kindled. He hopes now to bring the Light of Faith to many and enkindle God’s love into their hearts, once graced with religious vocation as a Deacon.
